Yes! I also have a very rumbly tumbly. I have pain and cramping on my left side incision sites. Most of the time they are "grit and bear it" pains but every so often it feels like someone shot me with a 38 special. Where I can't even breathe. Fortunately, that's only happened twice.

My liquid shots of Protein are so sweet that they're disgusting. That and the liquid oxycodeine. Grossss.

yes rumbly tumby when I eat and drink and my right incision is so painfully

I have not had a sip of Water since 2 days after getting home. Just made me have pain and liquid burp. Crystal light or Powerade zero, getting in my liquids requirement most days. Not sure when I will try Water again.

And I enjoyed it before surgery. I think it has to do with this the baby belly, just too much for some

Happy Sunday Gladiators! So I have been reading about folks having problems drinking Water but able to drink other liquids. I'am sorry @@smiley922' @@layknee and others are having problems. Like you I read so many books about Bariatric Surgery before I did my PreOp l was overwhelmed with all the info. But I took away a couple of things from all the so called experts that might help you

1. Everyone's Preop & PostOp experience is different.

2. Sip sip sip every liquid allowed by your Surgeon to allow your new stomach ( which is like a Newborn baby's) to get used to it. ( My goal is to get to 64oz per day of. liquid)

3. Take all the prescribed Meds as ordered everyone of them is ordered for a reason. Particularly the "Proton Pump Inhibitors"i. e Omeprazole which reduces the acid in your New Baby stomach.

4.Take your time every step of the way during your PostOp don't move too quickly to purée or regular food and if your stomach gets upset from something go back & try a day of complete Liquids.

5. Start Walking as soon as you can but pace yourself this is not a sprint its a marathon

6. And last but not least if you don't feel Right don't pause, hesitate or waver CALL your Surgeon or Get to the Emergency Room not a clinic not a Urgent Care go to The ER. If something is truly wrong the sooner it's fixed the better off you are.

7. I doing Great besides a little insomnia and leg discomfort but Because I'am almost. 2 hours from my Surgeon & the hospital I had my procedure I got referrals from the Surgeon of people she trusted affiliated with the Hospital closest to me Just In Case!

Now mind you my Surgeon still wants me to call her office first 24 -7 but she was happy to give me the referrals

Wishing everyone a pain free recovery and ⭐️a tremendous weight Loss by Thanksgiving!

So my husband has been gone for two weeks, he has not been home for any of my recovery. Today he's home and ran to the store for me. He brought me home a surprise, cookies! What party of the last six months has he missed? Ugh.

@misstvb. My husband did all his usually during my PreOp. Suddenly became hungry when we're out for pizza, burgers, Fries & then brought

My favorite frozen pizza which he never liked before P͠l͠u͠s͠ m͠y͠ f͠a͠v͠o͠r͠i͠t͠e͠ c͠o͠o͠k͠i͠e͠s͠. When he saw my first loss of 27LBS at my 1 wk Postop Appt & my x-ray showing the size of my Baby stomach he realized this was serious. That was 2 days ago LOL

It took him time & I've had him involved every step of the way. We had lunch with family today & dinner out watching football. I had 1/2 cup of Soup & my Protein shake, Water & Tea all afternoon. He kept announcing to me what he was going to order but now I think it's because he wants me to help make healthier food choices. Tell your hubby thank but get them out of the house now & forever. He will learn in time & love your new look!

tacy, I had a few of those Protein Shots. Took 1 sip if one of them and threw them all away!! WAY TOO SWEET! I couldn't choke those down at all. I also get the tummy rumbling when I'm eating. I usually hit the bathroom right after I eat too.

My husband must be twins with yours. So, I am on my second day of Clear Liquids. In other words no chewing.

Husband asks, what would you like for dinner? Duh, dinner, really! I'll take a glass of Water, thank you.

I can't help you since my surgery is next Tuesday but I hear for some people the nausea last a while. Are you allowed to have a nausea patch behind your ear. It's OTC at the drugstore but check with your doctor first.

@Ethreanna. Did your Doc prescribed Omeprazole (Oral Pill) ? It helps reduce the acid in your new stomach.

Also take smaller sips of your liquids. Also Try drinking warm liquids

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
