Gaining after a year

Recommended Posts

I'm down 87 lbs since surgery last year but gained 7lbs the last two weeks. But I know why: I'm eating too many Snacks and not drinking Water. The mental stuff that made us fat before is still there.

Im struggling too but I know what I need to do: destress and stick to the program. A support group isn't something I've done before but may now. I just need the reset button and to talk to people to understand.

Man it's crazy how we all can be sooooo similar. I'm down 131lbs since surgery 10/14/13. Over the last 2 months I stalled and then gained 7 1/2 lbs and it's all from snacking and not drinking enough Water. I think the only thing that kept from gaining more weight is that I rigorously workout 5 days a week and I walk everywhere. I'm terrified of gaining the weight back; so when I saw that Ai actually gained I freaked out! I need to find a support group to attend in the Los Angeles area ASAP!

I have been struggling with this as well. I have planned a reset for January 1st. I am going back to Protein shakes for a week or 2 then going back to the basics. The holidays killed me. Too many conveinent foods. I blame myself though. This is a tough time for alot of people. We just have to stay strong.

I gained 5 lbs over Thanksgiving and decided I'd had enough and wasn't waiting for a magical date to start. I reached my "I'm comfortable with this weight" goal of 185 (I'm 5'10"ish), and was there for a year. I had to stop my intense exercises for plastic surgery and while recovering started snacking too much at Halloween and Thanksgiving.

I started the reset on Nov 30th and I've stuck with 3 meals and one good snack a day. A Protein Shake for Breakfast keeps me from going carb crazy. As of today, I'm down 15 pounds. That's in one month! I was a slow loser and don't think I ever lost 15 lbs except the first month after surgery. I want to go a bit lower so I can run at a faster pace and not hurt my joints.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
