close to goal...

Recommended Posts

Hi all....Haven't posted in forever..nice to be back. I am about 25 lbs from my goal of 160. I am having trouble getting there. I don't really need a fill (i don't think), but I am straying and having issue with candy and a few Cookies here and there. :huytsao Being almost 2 years out I know what I can eat and how to get it down. I am exercising almost every day. I do cardio treadmill 3 times a week. Pilates once a week and flex and tone once a week(aerbobic with light weights). I also do weight training 2-3 times a week. I am going to start tracking food intake. It may be I am doing mindless eating. Anyone having any last 25lb eating plans????

Just wanted to say GOOD JOB!!! You have done great and its nice to see someone who has been banded a while. I was beginning to wonder where all the people were that were banded a long time ago....I guess you just move on after awhile....anyways....congratulations on your weight loss...Deanna

Congrats!! Sounds like you've done great, and all that exercise.. whew... I wish I could do one of those things LOL!! My 'quick fix' way to lose weight for any special occasion was to fall back on Atkins. If I do 0 carb, I lose weight rapidly. Not sure how it would work out in your lifestyle or how quick it would be if you're only 25lbs above goal. But thought I'd throw it out there!

Congrats again!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
