Plateau for the last few days...help!

Recommended Posts

I have trouble getting my Water in everyday. But I think my lack of water intake is more on chasing my twins than anything sleeve related. I am two weeks out today and have already hit a plateau. Do you think lack of water could be leading to my plateau? Help! TIA

You have only been introduced to "the dreaded third week stall" a few days early. I know we get tired of hearing that our bodies are just adjusting, but that is exactly what is happening.

Thanks @@Miss Mac. My mom is a 3rd years post op sleever and she keeps telling me that this will pass. Its just hard to think I start soft food tomorrow and I'm at a stall. Im worried about adding the extras in tomorrow wont help me loose. I just dont want to gain.

Since the day of surgery I've been living in fear of the dreaded 3 week stall. I hit 2 weeks tomorrow and start mushies next Tuesday. I'm praying the 3 week stall isn't too devastating. I joined a gym today and start working out tomorrow so (prayerfully) that will help give my body the boost it needs to lose as much as I can before the 3rd week arrives.

@@twinmommy83 keep us posted on your progress. Other than our heights our stats are so similar it will be nice to have someone to chat about this whole thing with.

good luck!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
