How are you getting that much Protein? I am 5 days post op and am barely getting 30. Are you limiting the amount of shakes you drink in a certain time? My dr wanted me to limit it to 3 oz/hr and I just do that 3-4 times a day and drink Water in between.

@@Notinks Hi there!

Just noticed you had your surgery the day before I did. How are you doing? My doctor wanted me to drink three Protein shakes, along with other fluids....impossible. I can manage two which gives me my 60 grams of Protein. Forget getting in 64 ounces of Water....ain't happening.

Have you tried making shakes with whey Protein powder? Each scoop is 30 grams of protein. I make it with unsweetened Almond milk, ice cubes, and some sugar free Jello or pudding powder added for flavor.....delicious.

Are you taking chewable Vitamins? I take Bariatric Choice...four a day. You don't need added Calcium with these.

Let me know how you're doing.

Hugs

@@Angelyaya5 I could probably get in that much Protein if I drank Protein shakes all day. Not sure. I might get too full though. My nut said no more than 3 oz/hr and wants you to have 3-5 "meals" a day. When you make the shake you described, do you drink the whole thing at once?I have been drinking Water in between, I am doing Vitamins. I am drinking the Premeir Protein for the most part. It is 30g of protein, but I only drink a third of it at a time.

I had surgery on Wednesday (the 17th). I am not eating much yet. My doctor's office wants me to drink 2-4 oz per hour and to try to hit 32 oz a day right now. Today is my first full day home and I drank most of a Premier Protein shake, a popsicle, 1/4 cup cream of chicken Soup and water/crystal light.

My surgeon is very up on preventing malabsorption so him and my nutritionist makes us start our Vitamins and Prilosec. For the past two days, I just been focusing on sipping throughout the day. I can only maybe get in 2 oz. at a time. Then I wait a couple of minutes and drink some more. In my 64 oz that includes my Protein Shakes.< /p>

Hi y'all! I had surgery on 9/15. I still have a lot of pain on the left side but it's getting a little better. Still taking Oxy.

I do very well with getting in all of my liquids and now drink 3 Protein shakes a day. I also drank them pre-surgery and found the Chike brands to be the best tasting. banana, chocolate and coffee flavored.

I also bought some whey Protein powder as its higher in Protein, and went online to find no sugar syrups. A company called Torani has lots of great flavored, pumpkin, almond, black cherry, gingerbread, Irish creme etc etc. they really help to offer a variety of shakes.

Hope this helps you. Wish you all the best as we all become "losers" ha ha

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
