Exercise for Double Chin/skin

Recommended Posts

You would think that all of this rediculous extra chewing would have made a difference. As for myself, I have developed jowls.

Keep doing or start doing cardio. Maintain maximun hydration and moisturize the skin frequently. There are some exercises you can do do strengthen frontal neck muscles, which can make the skin less loose. Google it. You're young, a lot of it should rebound. Good luck and congratulations on your success!

Unfortunately, those if us over 40 have to deal with the pesky sagging skin after weight loss. I've only lost 20 so far (surgery 3 weeks ago) and I can see it already in my tummy. I don't know what I'm gonna do when it starts happening in my face. I guess plastics will always be an option ;) No matter, I'd rather be healthy with sagging skin than fat and firm!

Me too.....63 iis around the corner, so unless it gets to where I scare little children and it's not Halloween, I am not planning on spending my retirement money on plastics. I am hoping to get well enough to travel to Scotland, the homeland of my ancient ones. (Scotland is on my bucket list) If I were younger, I would be saving up for plastics. Other than that, I agree with hydration to being the key to mitigating damage.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
