August post op sleevers: Check in

Recommended Posts

Sleeved August 22 and doing really well! 17lbs since surgery.Had a little pain and nausea post op but as soon as I was hooked up to the pain pump that all went away ;) Unfortunately, I got a TERRIBLE headache that lasted all 2 days in the hospital! Liquids for 2 weeks and now I'm on soft. I will honestly say the head hunger has been the hardest thing so far, which actually surprised me. Now at almost 3 weeks out, it has gotten MUCH better. Trying different pureed food, but honestly I have pretty good restriction, so I can really only eat 3 Oz at a time. Doing pretty good getting my fluids in though. Walking, eating as much Protein as I can and excited to see the weight coming off! I feel great!

Can't concentrate on how much weight in losing because first I had a problem having a BM now I have urinary retention.. They say it's common but damn... any oddities that can happen I seem to be the victim of... Sorry not tryna be a Debbie downer it's just frustrating...

Had my 3 week check up yesterday. I've lost 22 pounds since my pre op appointment and I'm very close to onederland!

I'm cleared to eat a bigger variety with nothing crunchy, nothing spicy, and nothing that has to be cut with a knife. Went to costco yesterday and found some frozen tilapia in pesto sauce, very yummy!

I'm supposed to continue with one Protein Drink per day but I just can't get them down anymore so I'm trying to get all of my Protein without them. Got some Protein Bars, maybe that will help.

I got sleeved 8/8/14 ... I'm grateful to have lost 25 lbs. I have 25 more to go. I'm still not able to eat constantly especially the Protein intake that's recommended. I had the worst heartburn last night! I didn't sleep and I'm still lacking energy to function.

I was sleeved on 8/15 and just like you the scale is stuck I'm hopeful like everyone keep saying that it will move I'm working out as well and finally consuming what I believe is enough calories 1,000-1,100 per day and still no movement but the scale has no other choice but to move in the right direction ..... Frustrated

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
