How many times did u see the doctor within that time frame?.. my BMI is right at 40.68 or something like that so if I loose 10 pounds I wont b able to have the surgery so waiting 6 months just to have the surgery would really suck!! Im ready for the change.

Yes..it was something...I had seen the doctor in November 2013...but my health insurance didn't cover bariatric surgery... I had to wait to switch my HMO....I did in July...but also start any weight loss program plus seen my doctor once a month...and in July I seen the psychologist... Nutritist... Same day...and they submitted my packet to insurance on Aug 18...approval on Aug 21.. I think it was quick because I started the other program too...and its Medicaid..

Mrsaizsha you all welcome... That's what we are hear for...I think talking to people who not going through it...its hard for them to understand....but I'm here if you need anything...I'm glad to because of my insurance issue I thought I wouldn't be able too for awhile... But I got it done..just do as much as you can now...6 months will be here in no time

Hey, so for the 6mnths of monitored weightloss I dont have a doctor that watched my progress. I do have a personal trainer that I was working out with for 7 months, a weightloss program I was apart of for 9 months and a gym membership I have had for a year. Do u ladys know if this will be accepted by our insurance? Have u submitted anything like this and if so how did it go??
