Trying not to lose

Recommended Posts

I am 17 months out of surgery. I have been at goal since feb. However, I have continued to lose weight and I am not trying. I am constantly eating Protein most days not enough. I still have difficulty with bread, it fills me up fast. Does anybody else have this problem? My husband is getting concerned and says if I get to 105 he's going to intervene. We are both nurses! I know how I am suppose to eat and I do my best. Any ideas?

OMG, I'm having this same issue. I've found myself reverting to bad habits. I feel as though look horrible. My face has thinned out so much. I don't like it. I would be interested to see what others are doing.

I was happy at 115.. But now I am down at 110 and getting concerned. My nutritionist initially told me I would only be able to get down to 130 without exercise. I am working out 2 days a week for about an hour and just trying to eat something constantly. My job is demanding, somedays I am running constantly. I hope I can get others input.

I'm kind of in the same boat....I hit goal just a little over 6 months out and started upping my fat and healthy carbs. Switched from skim milk to 1% or 2%, regular cottage cheese instead of no fat, more fruit, whole grain bars (pure ancient grains, Kind whole grain), high Fiber cereals, and snacking on a lot if nuts. I am getting plenty of Protein but only because I drink a 30-40g smoothie everyday.

But I'm still losing about 1 pound/week. I eat whenever I'm hungry and don't feel like I'm depriving myself of anything. I would like to stop losing, but I'm afraid to eat more just for the sake of eating. And I don't want to start up bad habits by eating carby foods. Guess I'm looking for ideas, too.

And I just noticed we are both from Idaho and had surgery at OCC. Kinda spooky.

Oh yeah, and the OCC nut gave me a goal of 160 so I'm technically 17 pounds below that. My personal goal was 150 so that's what's on my ticker.

Wow... That is kinda crazy. I love OCC! I am so thankful I have been able to achieve what I have. But everything you have listed is pretty much everything I have also been doing. Just beginning to worry.

I am also in the same boat. I am 11months post op. I started at 195 lbs and my goal was 130lbs. My doctor said realistically I couldn't loose 60 lbs, more like 50, but today I'm at 121lbs and still loosing. I've pretty much eat whatever I want, chips, ice cream, bread, hoping I can gain a little weight back, but no can do. My face is thin, my arms skin saggs, and I look old. I never thought loosing too much would ever be a problem, but now it is.

Start drinking some calories guys. Not just Protein Shakes either. White sugar isn't helpful, but fruit can be, and maybe things like pinto Beans and potatoes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
