Advice ? Yes, give yourself a big hug and a pat on the back !!! You have lost 25 lbs in 5 months, or an average of 1.4 lbs a WEEK ! !! That is very healthy "normal" progress, as 1-2 lbs a week is usually whats recommended. CONGRATULATIONS ! Keep up the good work !

If you can find the time to fill out your profile on a PC? It's difficult to advise when we know so little about you?

25 lbs is not slow and not fast either. Much depends on your BMI when you had surgery? I only lost 12 lbs the first 4 months.

Have you had any fills and are you feeling satiety or lots of hunger?

Sounds like you are firmly on the path headed to your goal. "Just" 25# is a monumental achievement, and 1.4#/week is very impressive!

Congratulations and keep up the great pace!!!!.

I have to say awesome job on your weight loss. Everyone losses weight differently and I do not see any loss unless I workout. Also just to let you know I also still see the fat girl in the mirror. I believe that is a mental issue more than a weight one. So keep you the great work!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
