Where are the May 2006 bandsters?

Recommended Posts

I haven't seen too many of us around lately. Our bandiversaries are coming up already. Good grief, the past year has flown by! How is everyone doing?

I've had some ups and downs with my weight over the last year, but overall I am pretty happy with my progress. I'm in no-man's land right now - too small for lane bryant, too big for everywhere else. These next 20 pounds are going to be a big deal for me, since they pretty much mark the boundary between "fat" and "notfat" for me. Wish me luck. And good luck to all of you guys too :-)

I am doing great! I am also around that weight-but I am tall so I can wear most everything now. Some tops bind a bit-I still have a tummy that makes slim cut jackets or blouses fit tightly. I am 20 pounds from my goal but am so happy with what I have achieved.

YAY! I'm glad you're doing so well! I wonder where everyone else is. They must be doing great if they don't have any reason to hang around here :-)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
