Cheaper than Bariatriceating.com

Recommended Posts

I just found a place that has most (all?) of the same items as Bariatriceating.com but it is quite a bit cheaper in price and shipping. I just completed and order with more stuff than I ever purchased from Bariatriceating.com and the shipping was $4.95, half of what I usually pay BE.com.

It is:

http://service.netrition.com/

They have a huge variety of Protein shakes, low carb, sauces, crackers, crispy bread, Fiber PRODUCTS FOR THE POOP CHALLENGED(!!) such as crispy bread made of 85% bran and I think the rest is mostly rye flour, etc. A product that I am hooked on is Parmesan cheese crackers. This place has ALL the flavors offered and a cheaper price. Goes great with my tuna.< /p>

Since I just put in my first order I don't know what the service is like but I should find out next week. B)

I've ordered from them several times before and the service was good (quick shipping, nothing missing, etc.). I also like the customer reviews on the food products

I like the Davinci syrups a lot although I mostly used them just in coffee - you can bake with them, mix them in yogurt etc. I almost got the cinnamon but read a not so great review - I was on the fence so passed on it but I wouldn't worry - everyone's taste is so different. I will say - if you don't like it - try to return it and don't be afraid to try the other flavors - i like the hazelnut and vanilla. Also, read some of the reviews because they give lots of other uses for them that I never would have thought of

Just thought I'd let you know that I was in Smart and Final yesterday and they carry all of the SF DeVinci syrups in all flavors and it wasn't very expensive.

I like the Raspberry DaVinci syrup with chocolate.

And, since we’re talking where to get products for less,

I often find the S/F syrups in the gourmet food sections

of our local Marshals & TJ Maxx. The flavor selection is

limited, but the prices are better than I’ve found on-line.

I also found (just last night, so I can’t comment on service)

a website that claims to price match and give you 5% off

the lowest on-line price you find. The shipping wasn’t all

that great, but most places seems to have high shipping.

Browsing around, anyone ever had the Russell Stover's Net Carb Breakfast bars? I love their carb-free candies.. didn't know they made anything else.. I'd be willing to try the bars, but I've never met a breakfast bar I liked.

HI there,

I have been wondering how you are doing. Not long ago, you said you couldn't get anything down except Protein drinks. You're having great weight loss, and I am having lousy weight loss.

What are you eating/drinking to lose so much weight?

I hope you are feeling better. I am going to order those crackers you said were so good. What else do you suggesta/ I need help! I am so confused

as to what I should be doing to lose some weight. I am going to get another fill at the end of May. So far, I lost 22 on the liquid stage 4 weeks after surgery, and 5 lbs immediately after my second fill and not anything since. I wish I knew what I am doing wrong. I drink over 64 oz of Water every day and exercise every day except Mondays. If you have any suggestions at all, I would love your advice.

thanks a lot , Denise

thanks, Denise

Which Protein shakes are you using? I am glad your doctor found a medication to help you? Is it one of the acid reducing medications, protonix type ?

I want to order whatever you're doing. I have had it with no weight loss. As soon as you tell me what to order, I am placing an order. parmesan crackers and what else do I need? This being at a standstill has got to stop! I already doing over an hour of cardio with the stair master, elliptical and treadmill.

I didn't put a 2nd mortgage on my house to have the scale not budge.

I appreciate your help!

Well, mine isn't the healthiest way of doing things. I do it because of my problems. So you need to know that.

I eat a combo of tuna/mayo (on the parmesan crackers, it's the only kind of cracker I can keep down and they are filling), Matrix Protein shakes mixed with Water (I don't like the aftertaste when mixed w/milk), fruit smoothies with low cal/low fat yogurt and frozen fruit, nothing else, veggie crackers. I don't know the name of them, a friend got some and I like them. They are like potato chips only made of veggies. No flour. Sometimes a handfull of Kashi's Cereal. I don't like milk so I eat it like popcorn.< /p>

I cut out ALL sugar, flour, and other assorted white carbs. I also stick to about 600 calories a day but I couldn't do that without Protein Shakes.

If your calories are under 1000 and you are doing an hour of serious cardio daily, I'm wondering if something else isn't wrong. Have you had labs done lately? Like a Chem Panel and CBC? Have you had a full thyroid panel done in the last year? If not, perhaps you should.

BTW, I use Matrix 5.0. It's the only one I like and I like chocolate but most others like Cookies & Cream. The cheapest place I have found it is here:

http://www.allstarhealth.com/f/syntrax-matrix_50_sustained_release_protein.htm

Another reason I like the above link is that if you don't like their products just return them and you'll get your money back. I didn't like the Cookies & Cream but I just gave it to a friend who does like it and sent the rest to someone from here. The above link is cheaper than the manufacturer!! Don't go to the manufacturer for this product, it is double the price. However the manufacturer will send free samples where the above link won't.

I just placed my order. It would be nice if anyone else mentioned what they ordered and how they liked it. I also ordered the Protein Bars that have 105 calories in chocolate mint. I hope they are good. I ordered several flavors of the crackers besides the parmesan crackers. I also ordered some some bran crackers because I am having trouble in that department. I'll let everyone know how good this stuff is. I hope it comes fast!

The link starting this thread, I've checked it out a couple times, but I find it really hard to navigate their site. I've yet to find the crackers you were talking about. Wish they had an easier layout to find stuff!

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
