Countdown to Onederland!

Recommended Posts

Karen: I am 5'5".. I set my goal at 160ish because I can't remember a time in my life that I was in the 160's.. I know I must of been at some point in high school or jr high, but I didn't weight then.... it is hard for me to wrap my head around being smaller than a size 12 (which I'm wearing 12's now)

I hope to hit the ONE's by new years........... then it will be my former low of 174 to beat........

Good news for me. I am holding steady at 199.5 which is great considering the holiday and even though I did not eat much - I sure did DRINK!!!!

I had my third fill on 12/27, so I am hoping that I can get a few more pounds off by 1/1/08.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr scale said........... 200.8 this morning! I had movie popcorn today and it went down just fine! so no hope for tomorrow......

Hope you get there soon Tracy. I'm scared I may have put mine back on since I am still eating too much ... can't wait for more restriction. I am going for a walk now so hopefully that will keep it off (it's 9.45am here).

You should make it by Tuesday for sure don't you think? I am stalled at 207 and not expecting to lose much more before my fill on Friday. THis despite spinning 4-5 times a week and running! Frustrating.

I'm bouncing back and forth from Onederland! It's like a tease. I've gone down to 198 and back up to 204 then back again. But still it was sure nice to see that on the scale, something I haven't seen in 30 years. Good luck to all of you.

OH Tracy...I have been stuck at 200.8 for DAYS. I wanted Onederland for Christmas, didn't get it. I thought for sure by New year's, but I had a run in with some chocolate. DAMN, I am afraid to get on scale. I think I'll wait till New Years morning. The damn choc will ruin it. Christ, I've got to get away from that.

If only it was just chocolate in my case Patty ... I hit onederland a couple of days ago but I can eat anything at the moment and I'm afraid I may have put some back on. I didn't put any on over xmas but I think I'm tempting fate. I have been walking each day but today was pretty full on foodwise. My next fill is 23 Jan... too far away, so I'm calling to see if I can get in sooner.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
