Week 6: May 27-31st Sleevers

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I did get the 6 month results back and all were normal! I've never had normal blood tests my entire life, always bad chol and triglycerides and Vitamin d deficiency ever since I was a teenager. So cool we got the green light to try. We've been looking forward to that news for five years. AND while I was there my doctor called me out on not doing strength training as well so he made a point to "clear" me for all levels of lifting and strenuous exercise :P

In terms of being cold, I was already cold before surgery with low blood pressure. Now I've lost my protective blubber layer (it shouldn't be funny but really it is.) Now I live in Antartica-land-coldness. Luckily, the heated blanket and the heated mattress pad I got for christmas does help too! I've started to wear thicker/more socks, gloves more often, covered shoes, and I drink herbal tea all day long (good for hydration and antioxidants too.) I've also tackled coldness with more hot soaking baths, which is a refreshing way to take care of myself, something that "big me" never made time to do.

Hi everyone it's been awhile since I've been in here. I am going well SW 208 CW 148. 8 lbs to my goal dr says 135 would be ok too.

I am finding myself ALOT colder than I used to be. ( no more flubber, I guess lol) cleaning out closest of size 12 pants now a size 10.

Constipation is a battle dir to our diets with more Protein. fruit will help I do the squeezable fruit packets they are a great size for us. On another blog I am a member of Smooth Move herbal tea was suggested. I tried that and it worked fine. I take the occasional stool softener too. I really see a difference when I add fruit and increase fluids.

I still think in my mind I am fat. Maybe that will always be the case. As far as exercise goes I try to get 10,000 steps in daily and go to the occasional kick boxing class.

As far a sex drive mine has stayed about the same. I just seem TIRED ALL THE TIME. Not sure if it my traditional seasonal depression due to no sun or what? Or the newer job working three nights a week.

Hope this finds everyone well

Including and updated pic from Christmas. Happy new year everyone!

For the sugar rush, someone told me to get some chrome supplement, apparently it really helps, and for period you need a summpllement that is called "DIM" it helps with hormonal issues....good job on loosing the 80 lbs and good luck to your mom

I have a question....are your ass hurting too? I guess it has to do with not having a plump butt anymore. I can feel my tail bone, and if i dont sit correctly, it´s uncomfortable.

Well I fell on the ice a few weeks ago and my butt has been hurting ever since. People keep joking its because I no longer have a butt LOL

I have lost everything but this stupid stubborn stomach. Literally everything else one me has gotten tiny. I lost half my boobs but they have stayed the same for a while now.

I cannot find the Facebook group.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
