Week 6: May 27-31st Sleevers

Recommended Posts

It's sooo nice to see everyone's updates!!! Love reading how we are all doing

I can't believe we are almost 2 months in !!! It's flown byyyy

You are all aware of my sugar addiction every day is a battle for me and everyday I try and stop myself I will weigh myself on the 1st morn that exactly 2 months for me (sleeved 31st) I would hopefully have lost something of significance

I have been exercising so my body is changinging

I used to wear a size 14 us (18 uk) but think I actually should've been a 16/20 because it was soooooo toght on me which is why I can still wear most if it now... I want to go back to significant drops like the first month hehehehhe

Ate too much for dinner. We got baby back ribs to go and they were so good I just kept poking in pieces of meat. I don't eat bread or fries or anything except Protein right now but I'm so full, like the meat is expanding. 2 months after surgery, when will I learn not to eat too much or too fast...

I think a lot of us probably do!! But bravo to you for only eating Protein. I need to be better about that.

I didn't mean to only eat Protein but since I can only eat about 1/4 cup of food per meal, I can't eat anything after I eat my meat and some cheese. My Snacks are 1 Tbsp almond or Peanut Butter or a few almonds or parmesan crispies so I decided just to run with the protein-centric diet. I'm older, slower metabolism and there was a post about a honeymoon period of 6 - 12 months where weight loss is easier and then losing gets harder so I decided to give it my all for the first 6 - 12 months and then worry about maintaining after that.

I'll need to learn how to eat regular food eventually but for now, I'm pretty happy and healthy and taking Vitamins and getting in my protein and liquids so... I can't ever plan a meal around bad, white carbs again but I'll find other good food to eat instead.

I lose so slowly, one pound every other day or so, and feels like forever but better than I've ever done before so shut up, Laurie, you are getting there and succeed at this.

Haven't checked in on here for awhile now. Great to see how well everyone is doing! Here is my progress. First pic is one week before surgery (5-28 surgery) and second pic is last Friday.

Everyone seems to be doing really well. This is a week one pic and a week 6 I believe. I'm now down 56lbs and under 300! So exciting. My mom threw me a party to Celebrate yesterday, so it's great to have that support. Entering week 9, I want to concentrate more on Proteins and veggies only. I've veered off the diet path slightly by eating a lot of Udon Soup, but it has so much sodium. Problem is, it's the only thing I'm really hungry for. I'm eating every two hours it seems like. Still losing weight, but want to lose faster! Finally ran at the gym for 6 mins! So happy about this new life I've made. Happy Sunday y'all!

I live in the US but I am currently in Morocco, North Africa for 3 weeks. I have not been logging on My Fitness Pal as their food is very different and a lot of items do not even have a nutrition label. I am just winging it for these 3 weeks. I do not have a scale either so I will be curious how much I weigh when I get home.

Interesting that your Protein Drinks don't count towards you liquid goals for the day. Why would that be?

I do not know why , I think the shakes have no hydration factors

You guys, I'm under 100 kilo! Still 19lb away from being under 200lb, but I'm thrilled to be under 100 kilo for the first time since 2010. When I'm under 200lb, then it'll really be time to celebrate...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
