I was in a tight 24W when I started this whole process at 322 pounds. Now, I'm 194 pounds and am comfortable in a 14. I'm 5'6"

When I started I was 260 lbs and wore a 24 jean and 3X or 24/26 tops(I like loose fitting shirts that don't show my rolls). I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op, down 30 lbs and still in a 24 jean, which is frustrating but I do see that my shirts are baggier. I also carry my weight in my abdominal area. I have noticed that I've lost some of my boobs and butt, lol. Gotta start exercising to tone up the flab. Good luck to everyone.

Larger sizes seem to last forever but once you get to 14 and below it's like a10 lb difference while size 22 will last 30!so don't stock up on smaller sizes. since. yo u may not stay there long

5'3" large breasts and tummy.

242 was 2X top, 20 dress, 18 pants.

198 today L/XL some 1X tops, 14W or 16P pants, I have one M top that fits and one size 12 pants. I have learned you have to try things on! Good thing my mom is losing also because she is giving me all her old pants.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
