Suggestion: Can we have a "Stalls" subforum?

Very good idea!

That would be great...then I could just stay out of that sub forum and never have to read another post about a three week stall ever again!

Why would you want to read about stalls over and over? Use the time to get moving and do something constructive and don't obsess over your weight stalling. Actually I cannot even imagine there is anything to discuss there. It is what it is.

Well it's obvious people are going to post about their stalls like it's a new thing rather than do a simple search on the forum, so we might as well corral all the posts into one sub forum that the rest of us can avoid. Maybe the administrators can post a big banner at the top that states "STALLS ARE NORMAL...GET OFF THE scale AND START LIVING YOUR LIFE!" But I doubt it would help.

I think having a stalls forum would serve two good purposes:

1. It would collect information about stalls in one location so people in a stall can find ideas to break them. It would be very easy for them to converse with other people in the same situation and be comforted that it is not just them.

2. It would allow those not in a stall to have a break from stall talk. Ohhh! That's a perfect name "Stall talk" < I'm a genius.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
