Hi - I'm Heather. I haven't been on here for awhile. My surgery was on Feb. 21, 2014...today I am down to 201 from 256 in four months! I can shop in my own closet again! Lol

I did struggle with a plateau in March/April, but the weight just started to fall off after that. I've recently been sick (unrelated to surgery) but I'm going to start exercising very soon. When I was at my heaviest, I suffered from plantar fasciitis, so my feet hurt and even walking quickly became painful. I also used to have swelling in my lower extremities. All gone!! I'd like to lose 31 more lbs and get a Tummy Tuck afterwards. I'd love to be 160-165. Thanks for reading! I'll post some before and after pics. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. :)

My surgery was at the end of January. I am feeling good, however, the longer i go, the easier it would be to fall back into bad habits. I'm glad your doing well!

My surgery was May 22, so a little more than a month. I haven't exercised yet. I am at a slow 1-4 pounds a week. I feel ok but want to know how much 1st month lost was. I was 234 pre-op, now 207. Doesn't feel like enough. Would love to lose 40 pounds in next 60 days. Any advise??

I'm 5 weeks post op tomorrow. My surgery was May 23. I've lost 32 lbs in the first four weeks and have been teeter tottering up and down with 2-3 lbs this last weeks. It's like I've stalled. Please tell me the weight loss will pick up again. I've been exercising (walking) but I have neuropathy and don't like to walk....I have to force myself. I read how your plantar fasciitis got better. My dr and I are hoping my neuropathy gets better as I lose. Any suggestions on how to get past this stall out?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
