Brits advise 'drink water' to cut obesity

Recommended Posts

This 'trend' is growing in the international awareness arena.

I learned long ago in grad school the physiological reasons "water" itself is far far better than any other Fluid, for our bodily processes.

I also observed during my postOp Bandster experience, that plain Water was also very beneficial for a multitude of reasons.

This brief article http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/drink-water-to-cut-obesity-health-experts-say-9562887.html

gives a few point worth knowing about.

They talk about the risk of weight gain using sugary drinks.

I for one, suffered a host of adverse metabolic effects from the high-fructose corn Syrup concoctions marketed during the 60s/70s/ before I started rational observation of the consequences of such intake.

Nearly every trip to the grocery store I see Moms with child in the little bus seat or cart, loading up with pop, punch and juice and head off for the chips isle. I'm serious. I see people with 8 litres of pop, gallon jugs of fruit punch and a couple of half gallon OJ.

I think I did some of this when my kids were younger. They loved me for it. That's where the change needs to begin. I think many of us as parents thought we needed to buy our kids affection and adoration via crappy food.

I agree with the article that more education is needed and I'd avoid taxing bad food.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
