Does anyone have snacks

Recommended Posts

I found a snack that I like that has Protein and Fiber and a satisfying crunch. It's BBQ protein chips from BariatricChoice.com. The link is below. I am in the process of trying the other flavors. Haven't been wild about the Ranch or Sea Salt & Vinegar flavors. But the BBQ one is really good.

I usually stick with my 3 meals but if I feel the need to snack then my go to is sargento reduced fat cheddar sticks, light baby bells, berries, fruit, nuts, popcorn, milk, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt to name a few things.

I eat 3 meals and one or two Snacks a day. Usually popcorn, string cheese, nuts, or an apple with Peanut Butter. Once in awhile I'll have an indulgence...Greek frozen yogurt, Dole banana bites (yum) Or plain pretzels.< /p>

When did you start popcorn? I'm a little over 2 months RNY. I LOVE POPCORN FOR THE CRUNCH.

I eat 2 to 3 Snacks a day. My team encourages them. I do healthy, mindful snacking. Yogurt, fruit with a string cheese, skim milk and half banana, 1 ounce of almonds or walnuts. I try to keep them around 100 calories and my meals are usually 200 to 300 calories. I focus on Protein and nutrient dense foods first and foremost.

At about 6 months I tried it. I'm fine with it. I stick with the 94% fat free kind.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
