almost 2 years out

Recommended Posts

I am almost 2 years out from my surgery and down almost 100 pounds!!!! I can not belive it!!!!!! I never thought that i would ever be in the place i am in now. My 2 year goal was to be down 100 pounds and with three months left i think i can do this!!!! At first i had my doubts but looking back at the person i was and the person i am today i am so much happier. I still have a ways to go on my journey its slow but i know one day i will get there if i keep working hard at it. Sure there are days i get discouraged and days i eat what i know i shouldnt but i dont let that stop my progress it just makes me work harder!!! I hope everyone else has the same success as me if not more and good luck to everyone on their journey.

Good Morning, that's AWESOME, I know exactly how you feel, and I didn't realize that until I felt it! I stood taller cuz for the 1st time in my life my boobs were not dragging me down, I even felt sexy but at now 65 and back where I am that went S as well! :) You take care, keep up your hard work, and God bless you!

Mary, congratulations on your amazing success -- I am so happy for you! 100 pounds is my goal as well, though is won't really know until I'm closer if that's the right number for my body. But I'm very hopeful that I can get there. And at seven months out and fifty some down, I am thrilled with my band. Even more then the weight loss is the great relief and feeling of freedom -- out of food jail.

Congratulations, Mary! Your progress is inspiring and the fact that you feel great and feel great about yourself is the best testimony of all. :D

I just celebrated my 2 year bandiversary in May 2014 and I can agree--this was the best decision I ever made (besides having my kids), I've lost 70 lbs and have thirty to go but im not worried. Taking it VERY slow has worked for me. I took my time to figure out which foods I can and cannot (bread, pizza) eat and three months after surgery I started exercising at the gym and now I do Bikram yoga 4-5 times per week. I feel great. I look great (if I must say so myself) and again,I am so happy I decided to do this. Thanks for sharing your story and letting me know Im not alone in this journey!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
