@@Debbie3sons I feel you there lady!!! My oldest is 26 but I am NO where near ready to be a Grandma!!! He is no where near ready to be a Dad...and I hope that all my boys keep that top of mind before they even think about having babies!!!

I had my kids very young...but I come from a totally different generation and was pretty much born like an Ostrich! (you know birthed fully grown and ready to go :))

At 26 I had 3 kids, a house, 2 cars, my own business and did the Soccer Mom thing carting them all around the city for all their sports school and after school activities. Kids today...they have all they can do to get to work on time and keep their shoes tied.

I, too, am living vicariously through others in grand parenting . The best news is my 25 yr old ( youngest) is engaged to be married in May Very excited.. And she adores him. So if the oldest ever grows up....in a few years I'll be ready for the next step. Trying to just adjust for now. Happy for those who embrace grand parenting ????

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I'm so happy to know that I can walk him in the carriage, carry him up and down the stairs, sit on the floor with him...and a host of other things I couldn't do two years ago.

oh Go, you are so blessed . I have three beautiful granddaughters and they were part of the reason I wanted to get healthy. shopping with them and being involved in all of their sports and school events is the pay off for my weight loss. I know you will enjoy being a Grandma...

Found out earlier this evening that a grandson is on the way. I am truly blessed to be able to say this little guy will have a healthy and mobile grandma to love and help take care of him.

Because of another thread, I remembered I kept this dress in my closet. Fifteen years ago I wore this and it was tight. Today it's loose and I need to buy some grown up lady shoes before I can't wear it this season! Happy day. post-208484-141770437821_thumb.jpg post-208484-14177043982099_thumb.jpg

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
