I just shared my dinner with two of my dogs....

I thought I would treat myself today and bought some tamales at a Mexican grocery store (a total treat), figuring that with my current restriction, that I would have to cut them in 1/2 to eat 1/2 at a time. And sure enough, these suckers are ginormous and I couldn't even eat a 1/2 tamale. So, the Lab got the majority of the chicken (I have trouble with meat if it is not moist enough) from inside and a smaller dog got some of the masa part. I wasn't really hungry, so that could be part of it, but I'm heading out to something, where I won't be able to eat and had to eat something before leaving. I will make up with a Protein drink when I am done for the night.

I struggle with the taco shell, or tortilla part too, so I usually skip that part and just eat the insides. As far as the chicken, chicken breast are way too dry and stringy for me, but chicken thighs are nice and moist. Yes, they have a bit more fat on them, but I just cut the fat out of my food somewhere else so I can get the protein in.
