Protein bars

Recommended Posts

If anyone is looking for a good Protein Bar that fills you up, I recommend the nature valley Protein Bars. I got the dark chocolate nut flavored. I had to be very careful with chewing it but it keeps me full longer than any food I've had. It has 10g Protein per bar.

I love Cliff protein in mint chocolate. They have 20 g of protein. I have had 3 dietitians. #3 doesn't like bars at all. #2 approves of them.

Dang it!!! Betty S, this is what happens when I'm not on here for a few days. I miss good tips, I just had the CCCD one yesterday and the oven thing sounds like a GREAAT idea!! I'll have to try that next time:-)

Yes!!! So good! The apple pie is good heated up, with a little frozen Greek yogurt or nonfat cool whip.. Just like apple pie and ice cream. Mmm!

Some people prefer cookie dough in the microwave, but the oven actually bakes it more so it has more of a crust, is only take 5-8 mins.

My favorite is the cinnamon roll! I like it room temperature because it's chewy like a candy bar. The chocolate brownie is best slightly warmed and the coconut cashew is good dipped in the Dannon L&F Greek yogurt, toasted coconut. That's the best movie snack. Use the bar like a spoon. Ok I'm hungry now. LOL

Your so welcome Chasing... Some people don't like them but I love them. They re truly a Protein bar not a candy bar with Protein.

Got my order from Quest and am working my way through them….LOVE LOVE LOVE the cinnamon roll…and the chocolate chip cookie dough was good. You are right they are not "candy-bar-ish" like the pure protein. Something new to add to the food pantry. Always good to add to the good food list arsenal!

I love the Quest bars too. My favs are Cookies and cream and brownie. I like most though. Only one I've totally disliked was the Peanut Butter cup (whatever it's called) and I wasn't crazy about the pbj. I did like the bp supreme though.

I like Atkins. A little too much sometimes. :-) But they work, taste good and are filling. So many choices too. I have to be careful. Some taste just like candy bars.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
