Asophogus issues since childhood

So I really want to do this lap band but have has issues with sticking since childhood. As a child my parents did nothing about it by at 25 in happened so bad I ended up in the ER.

I guess I get " rings" on my aspphogus. I have has several upper gi"s to strech it out over the past 10 yrs. I am scared to go through with lap band in fear of all I read about "being stuck".

Anyone else have this issue. The sensation is terrifying, I don't understand how people can handle it.

Sorry, but gastric banding isn't compatible with achalasia, in fact it has recently been linked to causing it...if you are serious about weight loss surgery, only RNY is compatible with your condition

I'm assuming you've had testing to confirm the diagnoses.

Best of luck to you!
