Hi June sleepers!!!! I had my surgery yesterday. Just got home today. I'm so tired. I have a lot of heart burn, and I mean a lot!!!!! Zofran helps both my nausea and my heart burn. My doctor said I had a lot of scar tissue around the tubing of my lap band. He almost did not do my sleeve. One he got to the band though, he saw that he could complete a VSG. I'm glad he was able todo the VSG.

I got sleeved on Tuesday. I haven't been nauseous and my pain was minimal the first day. The second day, my doctor encouraged me to walk around and I did. My pain increased especially going into this morning. I was given some pain meds and I doing much better. I will be getting discharged today.

I had my surgery on June 2nd, I had a lot of scar tissue around the port of my band. my surgeon had a hard time getting my stomach to lay flat to to the sleeve but he was able to do it. lots of pain in hospital had to stay an extra day do to dehydration and I just could not urinate on my own. came home yesterday tired, pain mainly where the scar tissue was. using my sore abdominal muscles to get on and off bed, but doing ok need to get 4-6 oz of Fluid in every hour and my pain meds sucks

My surgery was Tuesday and am doing surprisingly well. I was so afraid of how I'd feel. So the largest incision is the one that hurts. Only experienced nausea for 5 min yesterday morning. I find myself lining up my needed fluids each morning and literally sipping all day long to get my fluids in. If I take too much-OUCH!!! But all in all I'm very happy. Good luck to those going in today and this week.

I was sleeved on June 3rd...my surgeon said I had a lot of scar tissue around my port and tubing too. He said at the beginning there was so much that he didn't think he would be able to the VSG. He Said one he got to the lap band there wasn't any scar tissue there. And was able to do the VSG.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
