  1. I was sleeved June 3rd. I went with Dr. Jacobs. By far the greatest thing I have done. I am 7 weeks today and down 66 pounds. Listen to the doctor and start walking as soon as you can.
  2. I am in Miami. If you need anything do not hesitate to ask

  7. Hey sorry I didn't get back to all of you. The doctor did call me back. Said that I probably cracked the glue a little. Said if it is not red, painful our smelly that I have no infection and take it easy so that it can seal up.
  8. The doctors office had an emergency call number. I called and they said they will contact the doctor and get back to me

  12. I had my surgery June 3rd and was sent home the next day. I was given pain meds while in the hospital but my doctor told me once home to use Tylenol or Advil. Has anyone else experianced this. Thanks
  13. Hi, my name is Jeff and I am 22 years old. I used to be thin while in high school but I got injured playing sports and stopped but kept eating. I went to a seminar today near my home and met with a doctor about getting the LAP-BAND® done. The doctor said how the LAP-BAND® is mainly for people who eat a lot of food but doesn't work on people that eat a lot of soft calories like soda, milk shakes soft breads etc. So I got really happy because I felt he was describing me. Then he goes on to say that people who are at my weight and BMI have a very low success rate. That I am better of getting the bypass. That with the LAP-BAND® I will only lose 100 or so pounds and that I wouldn't be happy. I have another apt with another doctor on Thursday but I would like to hear it from people that have gone through this. Thanks a lot I weight 430 lbs and a BMI of 62
