at one month you can eat try most of the foods except junk food, sodas, or anything like that, but i have tried rice, spicy sauce, tortillas but for me everything i try goes down fine and have had no problems.

I started this journey over a year ago, and I still haven't went through with it. I've started and stopped 3 times and I'm completely petrified. I don't want to go through life hating myself like I do now. I want a husband and beautiful children and to be a hot mom. Heck, I want to be a hot woman. I'm 19 and around 340 and I've actually lost like 50 pounds this year just bc I'm busy and way more active and never eat.. (College life) my dad and grandmother both went through the top surgery where they take out intestines and everything (I forget the name) but they have problems with diarrhea and my dad has awful awful gas.. Plus I don't want to tie myself down to taking so many Vitamins and getting sick if I don't eat Protein. I'm way overweight right now, but I'm relatively healthy. The worst thing I deal with is PCOS which is another reason losing weight is a big deal for me. My insurance has already approved, I'm just so scared and don't want to ruin my life before it starts when it comes to going out with friends and eating and I definitely don't want bad diarrhea problems or anything like that. Idk guys I'm so lost and I just found this site last night. HELP!!!

Your so young, if you have seriously tried to lose weight and cant. The sleve is a great TOOL. It dosnt make you lose weight you work with it. It might be harder because of your age (going out etc). But at your age and weight you need to do something.. I only take 2 Flintstone Vitamins a day. Have gotten of most other meds and feel so much better. Have gone out to eat and have become a "cheep date" bonus at your age. You can't drink for the first year and no soda pop. But you'll have so much fun doing new things it won't matter. I hope this has helped a little. Everyone's story is different, but we all want to be healthy and who's we had done it sooner. Good luck.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
