I'll be 5 weeks post op on Tuesday. When did everyone start eating salad? I'm really craving it. Thank you

4 months for me per my dr, although it still disagreed with me until about 5-6 months.

Just recently started eating them without problems. Some tolerate salads much sooner. (I would caution anyone to try to add some lean meats to salads so they don't fill up before getting enough protein).

I didn't try salad till 6 months. Even now I fill up on the Protein before I could really enjoy a salad so I rarely eat one. Also my taste for the dressings have changed and I haven't found one that I really like yet.

My surgeon allows it at 8 weeks. I had a small amount of salad last night. It was delicious!!!

I am 10 weeks and have salad whenever I want. I do eat Protein first, so don't typically eat "a lot". But I've had no problems with it... or anything really. Well... I think bread is "yucky" feeling. I seem to always feel uncomfortable if I partake in any bread. I guess it's a good thing for the long term. I hope it stays that way!

Does anyone know if eating regular food at 20 days post op will mess up ur sleeve? I mean foods like baked chicken, green peas. I am able to eat these things but stop as soon as I feel full, and it's only a small amount.

There is a reason your doctor has you follow an eating program.Your stomach is still healing. Even though you feel fine and ready to move on to regular foods, your new stomach isn't quite ready for it. I would slow down and wait for your doctor to tell its ok to move on to the next stage.

I am 16 days out and my Nut said purée meat is nasty and as long as we chew chew chew and chew again to the consistency of applesauce then we can have a 3 oz piece of baked chicken and well done veggies after the protein....

I just started eating Tuesday and Wednesday I made a turkey chili with kidney Beans and tomatoes and had 1/4 cup..... Listen to your pouch, eat really slow and follow the 30/45 rule for drinking! No one can really give advise on what and when to eat as no surgeon or nutritionist/ WSL surgical center has the same post-op diet

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
