Oh ok, i take pepcid twice a day. Your doc didn't give u anything for reflux? How far out are you. Praying you feel better soon.

Yeah I take omiprezal once a day but it was not working. I called my nurse and she told me to try pepcid and zantac. By them self it didn't work but I put them together just a lil but ago and I feel so much better. Thank you.

I am 18 days post op and I feel great. My love affair with food is definitely dying. I mostly eat now because I have to, I don't really plan my meals because there is so little that I can actually eat. It is a little depressing to be honest.

I. Agree MO. I'm on 'full liquid' for 2 more weeks. Very boring and most times I have my meal just because it's what I'm supposed to do. I feel a little nauseous every once in a while but I can't seem to figure out the trigger. I have not gotten sick, just get the occasional moment when I feel like I could.

Im 8 days out & decided to be nice to hubby & cook wrong move. I ate a few finger scoops of mash potatoes with corn stuck to it. It went down well, but i had to put the left overs in the ice box fast because i kept coming back.

Well because I can eat such small amounts, I am all confused on what to eat. It took me from lunch to dinner to eat a Wendy's grilled chicken wrap. I didn't chew well on my last bite and ended up throwing up in my kitchen sink. That was so traumatic for me....I don't care to eat solids anymore..went back to liquids and yogurt. I am wondering when I will be able to eat solid foods comfortably.

don't be discouraged. My instructions says if you have problems with a food in a step go back to the previous step for one week. Perhaps your not ready for dense Protein like meat? Wait a week them try again, each of our stomachs are in different stages of swelling. Our insides are not healed yet. We will all get through this :)

So I am over the moon. I just weighed my self and I am 13lbs since surgery and I am only 9 days out. I am so happy that all this discomfort from reflux is not for nothing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
