Wow. The pain will slowly go away. Just make sure to keep walking. It really helps. And get rest. Hopefully you will be able to get home tomorrow. Glad to hear the surgery went well.

just got back from a walk. dde04 and hoping to get some sleep tonight if others around me will not be snoring I loud and then another guy just keeps yelling at the nurses
Hi Stacie. How are you doing today? We're you able to go home today? Hope you were able to get some sleep last night. Let me know how things are going. I'm doing good. One more week on puréed diet then I move up to soft foods. I really don't feel hungry at all.

hi Sarah yes I just got home. My husband and sons got me all set up in my room and they left to go do the grocery shopping. I'm feeling good finally passing gas so it's a good sign. Also, just had my first sips of Protein Shake and no issues. Tomorrow I can. Start soft foods. I did take some pain mess after getting home since it was an jour drive so I'm ready for a nap. Thanks for checking on me.

Well I'm 3 days post op. Feeling a little but more human for sure. A few gas pains bust mostly just feeling bloated and general soreness. I'm not going to lie, even though I'm not interested in eating anything, I still see certain foods and feel some slight desire to taste. I'm able to get the fluids down for the most part. Thanks to those with encouraging words. Good luck to those having their procedures done today.

No problem. Glad you are home. Sounds like your husband and sons are taking really good care of you. I remember when I finally passed gas, it was a major relief. Good to hear that you are tolerating the Protein shake. Just remember, go slow, especially when starting new foods. Also, I've learned definitely do not eat and drink at same time especially with starting soft foods. You really want about 30 minutes between drinking and eating. Will check in with you tomorrow.

Stop drinking 30 min before meal

Eat for 20 min

Tried re fried Beans with dash of cheese today. Amazed at how little I can eat. About 1/4 cup

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
