How long did people wait before they had a drink. My surgeon told me 4 months but he never said why. Does anyone know why you have to wait so long and how long did you all wait before u had a glass or red? Or whatever floats your boat

At 2 months I was sipping on the wifes beers when we went to our favorite craft beer place. I never get my own due to not wanting the excess of extra calories. But I had no issues.

My doctor told me to wait 8 weeks, and I waited 7 weeks, 6 days. It seemed like forever. That was honestly the worst part of my surgery. I felt completely abnormal. At the time, I was trying to keep my surgery quiet, and it was very difficult to come up with a reason to not meet someone for happy hour or have a glass of wine with dinner.< /p>

Used to love beer, but it's just to "fizzy" for me. I can drink white wine though and I am 4 mos. post op.

My surgeon requires no booze for a year due to the risk of addiction transfer. Also the extra calories and carbs.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
