Tijuana surgery May 29th?

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else going to do the weight loss surgery in Tijuana at the end of May? I am super nervous for mine, and my whole family thinks I'm crazy for going to Mexico.

I'm getting so excited, looking at all these pictures, I can't wait I wish I could go now so I could start loosing weight, I'm going to have to buy a few things to wear for summer or warmer weather now and I don't want to, but I can't wear my sweat shirts and jeans till May. So frustrated right now and getting more depressed as it warms up cause I know I won't be comfortable in my clothes I have now and I'm going to have to buy something.

I'm having my surgery with dr. Ponce de leon through wls-for-a-betterlife. I am beginning to struggle with the "last meal" syndrome. :/

I already have my last meal planned. It will be at Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater, OK when I take my team to the Special Olympic Summer Games. I did stop all caffine Sunday. I figured I needed Spring Break to kick caffine, I could not work with a major thumping in my head. So far I have figured out that food is more mental than necessary.

I would like to go mid May, but I'm looking for people going as well so I'm not by myself. My family is freaking out.

I'm going the end of may, I'm have surgery may 30, can't wait, the closer it gets the more nervous I get. I have 3 friends here that have done it and 2 more headed there April and May. The last lady that had it done is down 21 lbs. In 23 days, one then it's down 100lbs. And the other one down 60 in over a year.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
