I had my crap band for 6 years. food stuck all the time. Always in pain. Got my sleeve on Feb 25,... It's like night and day. It's so nice to have the pressure in the middle of your chest relieved.

I have the sleeve and I throw up a lot.. Sometimes it hurts like something is stuck (even if it's just a shake) and I vomit and everything is fine ..

I had the lapband for 5 years, each year the throwing up got worse. I was so worried I would have esphogial scarring and I was very lucky to get the lapband loosened until my surgery. After my sleeve I havent had any issues of throwing up, my acid reflux is gone! After surgery I did experince some nausea for the 1st day but it got better and I was so happy.

Each of us is different after surgery wishing you the very best!

Yup I even spent the day in the hospital having tests and they found nothing wrong. He told me stick to just shakes for another week, even though I said shakes do it too not just yogurt and eggs and soup!!

I always thought it was ONLY me with problems with the band until I came here, my doctor never ever mention that there were others, he made me feel like a failure.

I had the band for 6 years and food would get stuck and I would throw up. I was revised to the band and I have that same stuck feeling in my chest and I still vomit. Nothing has changed as far as that goes.

I had the band for 5 years, the stuck/vomit cycle got worse every year. My sleeve was done August 2013 and I have not vomited even one time since then. It's wonderful! No stuck, chest pressure feeling, just regular full feeling like before band. Occasionally I will eat too much or something that does not agree with my tummy and I will feel sick, nauseous and hot for a bit. It's weird, but it passes in about 15 minuets.

I think I lost most of my weight with the lapband due to bulemia. Thru up almost everyday. It was so easy. I just bent over and up would come whatever I just ate.

Had sleeve revision last July (8 mths ago) and I've thrown up twice (my fault. Ate too much). Sometimes I actually MISS easily throwing up. Now it's much, much harder. If I overeat, I just hafta ride it out. It won't come up as easily as it used to.

16 lbs from goal. Very happy with my sleeve. Easily maintaining for about 4 mths.

Good luck! I think ull be happy with the revision...

Thanks for being so honest. I think my success with the band was due to the same reason. I'm 4 days post-op now and I'm nervous yet excited about this new journey.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
