So you really do feel full? Can u compare it to anything? Is it like the feeling you get after a big meal? I know its a strange question. Lol. Tomorrow is my surgery at 1pm. I'm nervous!

Hello ladies. I'm new to the forum. My band was revised to the sleeve March 14. It has been a rough couple of days but I can say that today I am feeling better. I am able to get more fluids down and I am passing more gas. I'm still sore and have decided to stop my pain meds because they make me too drowsy. I have been really tired but I started V8 fusion with Protein Powder added. It has helped a little with my energy level. Looking forward to better days.

It's a painful bloated feeling. Similar to how you feel when you overeat now but more tender. For example, I took a packet of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken powder, added 1/4 cup of premade progresso chicken Soup (no noodles) and about 1/2 cup of Water and purreed it. It was about 1 cup in volume. I had maybe 1 ounce over 30 minutes and thought I might explode so I stopped. Then I heated up the rest later and had maybe 2 ounces and thought I might burst. I feel less of that with shakes or clears like sugar free popsciles. But it is scary. Each bite, I am afraid I will do damage to my sleeve. I am no where near getting in the amount of Protein but I guess at 4 days out, that is normal. I have moments of hunger too but as soon as I start to sip, it's pretty much gone. I have a month of this before I can go to softs so I am thinking of all the things I will puree. The problem is I am way too scared to puree something "heavy" right now. And when you add Protein to it, it definitly changes the flavor - although the Unjury chicken is quite good, especially flavored with a little real Soup. I completely understand head hunger now. It looks and sounds soooo good but physiologically, my tummy cannot take another bite. Learning to eat is weird. It's like being a baby again. Each day is getting easier. It hurt to swallow the first 2 days but has been so much easier now. Pain is less each day. YOU GOT THIS! You will be fine! I won't lie, the first 48 hours were rough but it's in the rear view now. I am excited for you!

Band removed 12-6-13 and sleeved on 3-6-14.Back to work after one week, still some pain in lower left-but getting better each day.I haven't seen the scale move in over a week, after initially losing 21.Is this normal? Anyone else having this same issue? Is this the 3 week stall?#trying to stay encouraged.

I have my surgery March 31st! So excited and a little nervous! I wasn't given a pre op diet, but think I will do one on my own next week before the surgery. It feels like it's all happening so fast now. I had to wait awhile to get in to see the dr, to get my xray results, and wait for approval. But as soon as it was approved last week, it was scheduled! 10 days now!

Congrats to all of you who are doing so well right after surgery! :-)

That's great. Don't do too much liquids preop, you will be on liquids for a long time after surgery.......it gets old very fast ;)

Only requirement my Doc gave me was Clear Liquids the day before, nothing after midnight. But I did do low carb the weeks leading up to surgery.

I agree with Gumbo. I did not have a liquid diet except for the day before. Post op day 6: I am so freaking tired of liquids. One more week of liquids and I can advance to thicker puréed. I lost 28 preop doing low carb and high Protein. Just focus on getting in your protein and enjoy crunching something because you will miss it for the first month post op.

Thanks for the advice. That's good to know others didn't have a pre op diet. I had thought it was odd not to have one. I know I am going to be sooo tired of liquids come a few days after surgery :-) so I am just going to do low carb. I already am thinking in my head about food funerals I need to have! Lol.

OMG I am glad I am not the only one. There are so many super stars on these boards getting in all their Protein and Water from day 1. I have been having a hard time with it this week. Sometimes I just feel too full for a snack or another meal.

I'm post op day 6 and so far, have never made it past 48-50. Everything makes me full. I'm feeling the lack of Protein and Fluid though. Today, I'm determined to get in at least 60. I'm also going to try yogurt today, I think.

the Unjury protein chicken Soup was a big help, 20g protein, I only used 5oz Water. One in morning & one at lunch was 40g protein

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
