I'm still pre-op and can totally relate. I tell NO one my weight. My doctor knows but definitely no one else. I am waiting until I am about 60 lbs lighter before I reveal what my starting weight was.
I don't know about you all, but prior to surgery nobody knew my weight. Not my husband, not my kids, not my doctor (I refused to get on the scale when I went in, I just provided an estimate), not the state for my driver’s license (again a low estimate). My weight could have been considered a national security secret.
Now, post surgery I find myself telling everyone how much I weigh. Have I reached my goal? Nope, but it doesn't stop me. People ask me all the time how much weight Ive lost and I respond back with my current weight. They look at me like, that's not what I asked you.
Anyone else find themselves doing this? Is your weight no longer a national security secret?
