Which Chewable (or not) MultiVitamin?

When I go on a research tangent, I'm usually well informed and ready to make a decision.

I understand we all must take a Multivitamin, beginning post-op.

Question is: do you go with opurity ( not made in China) or Bariatric Advantage for chews?

I have r/o Flintstones ( not recommended) and wonder what chewable is everyone taking post-op and why?

Taking Source of Life liquid Gold Vitamin. I compared the ingredients to Bariatric Advantage multi, and with the recommendation of a pharmacist friend at a Compound Pharmacy will stay with it. Also doing Bariatric Advantage chewable Iron, and calcium citrate. We take the B-12 shots, Biotin for the hair, and Vitamin D capsules. Lots of opinions here. We get bloodwork done tomorrow and will see how good our choices have been! Just do not over buy and you can change out! Good luck!

Flintstone complete with Iron were on my Nut's approved list. I take them because they taste ok and are small so I can easily take them with me to consume during the day. The best Vitamins are the ones that you take.

My doc recommends 2 Flintstones with Iron post op. I'm preop but hadn't really researched it yet. Can you share why they are ruled out? Just curious.

I take two Vitafusion Gummy Multivitamins. My nut approved them. If I take a Vitamin with zinc (any amount, even just a measly 2.5 mg) I'll become pretty nauseated. That was a terrible trial and error to find something without feeling sick. Also, unfortunately I have to be careful at cold and flu season as a lot of those have zinc.

-any ways, I also take vit d and vet e soft gels.

You might like the Trader Joes adult chewable high potency Vitamins. 200% of everything so works well for bariactric patients. You just need to chew 2 a day. Both my wife and I, along with countless others, have gotten nauseous , gagged, threw up, etc on the Bariatric Advantage nasty berry flavored chews. Our NUT approved us taking the TJ adult chews.

I take Centrum Adult Chews. They taste OK, but you have to take 4 of them a day - little round chews. I also went went Bariatric Advantage for the calcium chews, but as Fiddleman states their regular vitaminds are gross.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
