APPS for tracking or Any other good APPS for WLS patients?

Was wondering If anyone has a user friendly app for tracking what you eat during the day especially Protein and calories. I am not a big fan of My fitness Pal as I can't seem to be able to put in the exact amount ...ex 1.5 ounces chicken. .

You can log exact amount in MFP. However, I have a friend that uses Lose It and know other folks who track on Spark people.

I like Fat Secret. It's very easy and includes restaurants and exercise too.

You can change the amount, it took me a while to find out how to do it too -- just select the amount and put the actual amount you ate.

I also find its better to err on the side of more than less just for my calorie count now (but not something you need to worry about right away anyway).

I haven't used any of the other food counter apps, but I have a few other ones I use.

I have a Fitbit Aria scale, and track weight there. It syncs with www.trendweight.com (which also syncs with some other scales Withings, I think and I don't recall what else) and projects data and weight loss trends.

I have a Fitbit Force -- but this has just been recalled due to skin irritation issues -- and because I have a small irritated spot, I've discontinued use of that tracker in the meantime. However, I will say that having a tracker similar to a Fitbit is EXTREMELY awesome. There are lots on the market right now.

YMMV on how much data you like to have though, as I know not everyone likes the amount of data and stats I do. :)

Good luck on your journey!

I use Mynetdiary.com, Fitbit One, Aria scale, Bodytrack.it and Bariatric Pal. MND, FB and Aria all sync together tracking weight, food, exercise and fluids. Bodytrack.it keeps measurements and pictures - so you can see your progress. There is a lot out there - check everything out and see what you like best. ????

I use loseit! I've also tried MFP but, I like Loseit better! I got the Loseit scale also. That's pretty cool because when you weigh yourself, it automatically enters into the APP!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
