I am 5 weeks out and 40 lbs down. I haven't lost a shoe size yet (thank goodness), but I have lost the "fat girl lean" haha. My shoes look and fit so much better. I am hoping I don't lose any shoe sizes. I love my shoes!!

Yes, my shoe size went down about a size. I was in 10W that was always a little too snug, but 11s were too big, to now a 9 that fits well. I can sometimes wear and 8.5 depending on how it's made. LOL at the fat girl lean - that's gone, too!

I still wear all the same shoes 8-8.5 W and I've lost over 100 lbs. I guess the everyone is different adage applies.

I have lost right at 100 pounds and my shoe size stayed the same. Size 8 regular.

I went from always wearing a wide 11.5 - did not matter which brand - to a regular 10 in popular brands like Nike (which I believe run a little small). It felt good to walk into a running store mid month 5 and buy a normal size 10 running shoe and have it fit perfectly. First time that had ever happened to me, ever.

My shoe width went from wide to medium but the length hasn't changed. Had to buy some new belts size XL and toss all my 3Xs! Yayeeee!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
