I had an awesome phone call today moving me to the next stage of food (was supposed to be on Monday) I cried. Lol so emotional. Anyway I had like no food because I've been on liquids. So I scrambled up some things and made a tuna mousse with double Protein cream cheese I had. Some lemon, a tsp o sour cream just to moisten (didn't have mayo), dash of Tabasco, some pepper... Put a tbsp on a cracker with some melted cheese and it was heavenly lol ahhh substance

Congrats Kristina! That sounds awesome. I was scared to try tuna because I've heard so many people say it made them sick but I tried some lemon pepper tuna with Greek yogurt (instead of mayo) and some relish. It was so good and it didn't make me sick!

I went to my GP today. She said I have lost over 40lbs since my last visit in January. She was super impressed at how good I was doing for a month out. She cut my BP meds in half and said I can probably stop taking them altogether after my next check up!

Week 2 for me is still fluids. Week 3 starts pureed diet. Looking forward to that. I didn't want to weigh either but I was pleasantly surprised. I did wait for the gas/fluid to calm down though.

I mix mine with Water and make them thin. That way, I get more fluids too. I am sick of chocolate though.

I'm staying away from too much dairy because it can cause gas. Also, some people become lactose intolerant after surgery. Next week, I start supplements, and one of those is Calcium. Did you know that Calcium and Iron shouldn't be taken together because they cancel each other out? Oh the things I'm learning!

I know I was so confused on a time frame for what pills to take when and with which other pills... Thank God my surgeon gave me a daily schedule for when and what pills to take. Lifesaver. I put it in an app for RX reminder. Works great!!!

Didn't you have surgery on the 24th too? Holy cow and you're already eating all that stuff? I'm still on full liquid for another week. Lol.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
