Seen my doctor today for pre admitting. Can't wait for march 24th to come. Kinda down because doctor said I might have to much scar tissue to do sleeve the same time. I'm praying he can because my insurance changes over in April. "Ugh"

I had terrible dry mouth in the hospital. Ice chips helped the most. Crush some ice and suck on it. Helps get your Water in too.

if you are on the hydrocodone liquid pain med that's what it is it stopped the day I switched to Tylenol

I found swishing Water in my mouth and gargling a bit helped a lot without actually swallowing.

I'm sitting in the hospital waiting on my surgery. I have been calm all the way until now. I spoke to my 9year old daughter over the phone and she started crying now I feel like I'm about to have a panic attack. Ughhhhhh

Thinking of you! Just had a bedtime prayer with my 8 year old. Sweetness is to hear your child pray for you. It's terrifying too. But deep breaths - we got this! I'll be at the hospital in about 13 hours. Hope you're doing ok. Post when you can!

Hi everyone. ... I've been reading posts on this site for a while now. I'm starting to get really excited and anxious. I Am scheduled for March 21 . I'll be flying down to San Diego...is anyone having surgery in Tijuana around that time? I don't have to much support from family and friends but it is something I've wanted for a long time. I'm 27 and ready to start a new life. Just looking for some positivity

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
