What do you drink???

Recommended Posts

Lots of Water, lots of Decaf iced tea, occasional lemonade....it isn't as hard as I anticipated. coffee is ok---I never think about it, as I am not a coffee drinker!!!

If you were referring to alcoholic drinks....wine is ok, I drink Amaretto---and mix it with lots of things. Cranberry juice & vodka is ok.

Seemed impossible to me, now it is just normal!

I guess I asked the question because besides water......(and I do drink my water)..I was just looking for a few suggestions that maybe I haven't thought of. I miss Coke Zero more than anything else since being banded.

I don't drink alcoholic beverages.< /p>

I have become an addict to Crystal Light lemonade flavor. I am not big on Water, but have no problem getting it in when I add a crystal light packet. And it works great because it does come in the packets, so I have them with me everywhere I go.

I used to drink diet coke for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. I thought I really missed it. I have been good and not had one since I started my pre-op diet almost a year ago now. A couple of weeks ago the hubby and I were out and we were dieing of thirst. All we found was a soda machine, with no Water. So he grabbed a diet coke and I said I could wait until we found someplace where I could get a bottle of water. I decided I was so thirsty, that surely one sip of his diet coke wouldn't hurt, so I took one. You know what! It tasted absolutely disgusting. I didn't like the flavor, the texture (?) nothing. I actually ended up spitting it out. That cured me and I no longer feel deprived about not having soda anymore. It shows you can get used to anything.

I'm echoing what the others have said. I gave up caffeine for another reason back in December, and though I haven't yet been banded, I am trying to eat and drink like it so I won't be so shocked when I am. So I have given up carbonation.

I also gave up most artificial sweeteners. I will have an occasional bottle of Fuze Slenderize or Propel Fitness Water or Special K Protein Water (must be VERY cold, preferably over ice!), but other than that I drink water, water with a touch of lemon, Target makes flavored waters that are unsweetened (Archer Farms is the brand) and I like them all. They also have ones with Splenda in them. I love V8, Tomato juice, Decaf Luzianne tea, decaf Tetley British Blend, decaf Constant Comment. I'll use regular packets of Kool-Aid and add Stevia to them instead of Crystal Light (which I love, but has artificial sweeteners). I use Silk soymilk for my Cereal.

I've gone crazy over the Mango flavored Gatorade. I drink that and Water. Oddly, I used to love my Water room temp...now I like it refrigerator cold.

Also, peach or raspberry tea is very good, cranberry juice too.

I love gatorade too, but once I get started on it I can't seem to stop. And, the calories are too high so I try and stay away from it. But, sometimes there are times when only a gatorade will do. I am boring and just like the ol' fruit punch flavored one.

Arizona Diet Green Tea. I love carbonated drinks but thankfully I've never been addicted to them. I can't say the same about my tea ;) And I just KNOW there's going to be an expose that shows it's not diet because it tastes so good, lol.

I love Crystal Light the lemonade and raspberry lemonades are the best. Another good one are the Lipton Diet Citrus Green Teas, they are really good too.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
