Just curious if anyone loses during this phase before switching to solids.

I lost 8 lbs in the 2 weeks post op during my liquid stage. Then it has slowed to another 2 lbs the next two weeks. I won't get my first full for two more weeks and I'm hungry!!

Oh I had also lost 6 lbs pre op. :)

Right after surgery I did gain 6 lbs back due to whatever they pumped me with. My 8 lbs noted above are from morning of surgery itself and not the gain immediately post surgery, if that makes sense.

I lost 7 pounds preop. Then I lost 10 pounds for a week and half post op. Then it really slowed down for a bit. I came to realize though, that I was building up toward my period. Once I had my period, I started losing again. I will say though, that I have really been watching what I eat and I started walking on the treadmill.

from surgery 284lbs to my first post op check up which was 2 weeks i lost 22 lbs. i know this because i keep a journal. i recommend a journel of some type. right now it really helps to keep track of my medical problems so i don't have to remember when i am talking to the doctor.

I lost 20 on the pre-op....

Post op I lost 8 the first two weeks and then 10 over the next month.

Everyones pre and post op are going to be different.....I had 2 week liquid pre-op then 2 week liquid post op then 2 weeks mushies and then onto solids...

Hoping you are not doing any comparing with all these #'s...everyone loses at different rates!

So far I am super excited about my losses...just taking it one day at a time! :)

I lost 8-10 lbs pre-op. I'm now one month and a week post surgery. I've lost a total of 30lbs from October 2013-now. I dropped weight fast from the day of surgery until about 3-4 weeks. Now that I'm eating more type of foods, I'm averaging 1-3 lbs a week or so.

I lost 7 # pre-op on the 10 day liquid diet, then I lost another 15 # the next 2 -3 weeks post-op, then nothing since, it will be a month post op on Sunday the 19th, kinda getting discouraged but I have noticed that I have lost quite a few inches too! I also keep a journal of my weight and measurements ! I have to keep track of this oh so important journey that I am on!

I am one week and two days post op and as of this morning have lost 15.5 pounds post op. I'll take it. I have to do full liquids the rest of this week and then mushies for three more weeks before seeing my doc.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
