Alex, question? ?

Recommended Posts

On my android app, once I read a thread that has pictures I can never see those pictures again. Is there a way to get around that?

Hi Seela,

Please post any questions about the site or app to the Assistance & Suggestions forum. I'm notified whenever someone posts to this forum.

I don't have a chance to read every thread that's posted to BariatricPal (even if the subject has my name in it.) Luckily, one of the Hosts notified me about this topic.

Can you give a few examples of topics where you have this issue please ? I'll try to see if I can replicate on my Android devices.

Sorry for posting in the wrong place but I'm glad you found it. It has been like this since the beginning. Every post with a pic, even ones that I've posted once I open the thread and look at the pic if I move out of that thread then go back to it later I can never see the pics again. It has happened on every single thread I have opened. Thanks

No worries! I just wanted to clarify so other members don't think they can just call Alex and puff I appear :D

I understand how that would be extremely annoying. Surprised nobody else has complained about this exact issue. I'm going to test and see if I can replicate and resolve. We have a new Android app coming out in the near future which should alleviate this and any other issues our members have reported.

On my iPhone with the app I don't really see any pics except for the profile pic. I thought that was just a time saving (little/no download data) type feature.

Ahh lucky.. I can only see maybe one out of every 20 profile pics.

Same here, I just haven't said anything about it.

Yeah I don't see all the profile pics just a handful of them. But that's the only image that I'm able to see. Even though I have attachments turned on in the settings I don't see any.

Also, when I was adjusting my settings, I noticed to portrait lock option doesn't work either.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
