Hi All, I know I'm not going to do anything without talking to my doc first, but when where you all given the green light to at least start walking distances (2-3 miles). I can't remember what he said, I think it was week 4, but I may be way off base. I do know he said no sweat inducing exercise for a while. My next appointment isn't till January 9th because his schedule gets so busy during the holidays, otherwise it would have been due right before the new year.

Thanks for your input. It is always wonderful.

Ps- experiencing 3rd week stomach cramps, seems to be par for the course for what I'm reading.

I was cleared for walking immediately after surgery - any distance was OK, just don't push it. I was told to stop when I got tired.

I was up to 3 miles about 2.5 weeks after surgery and my doc was OK with that. Nothing strenuous, just walking at a moderate pace.

I hope at my 6 week appointment next week I get released to do all exercises.

Best of luck to you!

Hey farmgirl. I know I'm a bit late to this, but after my TT I was told I could begin serious walking 14 days post op. by serious I mean 1 mile. And that was all I could walk. But I was up to 2-3 miles by 1 month post op.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
