While tentatively scheduled for surgery on 16-December, I am awaiting approval. I just got a call today that the surgeon's office received a letter from insurance looking for proof of my sleep apnea and diabetes. She said that was good news. Fortunately, I saw the sleep doctor and had blood work in the past month or so, so she says I should be in good shape.

My only worry now is that I think I'm supposed to be starting my pre-op diet, and they're holding off, pending approval. <sigh>

I am currently waiting approval as well. I just finished my Psyche evaluation and he has to get the results to the Surgeon's office and Im finishing up on some other things. I am tentatively scheduled for February 11th but I'm not sure everything will be completed by then. I just feel it will happen when it's supposed to happen. I have come this far, I'm not giving up yet.

I guess we will all play the waiting game together. Called ins. Company, they have not received anything. And of coarse I call office to see if anything else is needed from me and as I was at my primary & cardio today I get VM. Ive decided not going to call anymore. If they need anything else they will eventually contact me Originally they said by the end of December so we will see!! Good luck to everyone!!! ????

Well I got ahold of them finally. They said they never received notes from pyscho eval. Idk why because I LM & emailed that they sent it the day I left. Soo she emailed to back to tell me they do have it in hand and as soon as dr signs off on it it will be sent to ins. Fingers crossed!!

I'm currently waiting approval. I'm an anxious mess. My Dr.'s office won't schedule until I receive an official approval. I'm concerned because I'm in school and I was originally scheduled for Dec 17. I had to switch doctors (long story). What a frustrating situation. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Good luck! :)

Me too. My final weigh in is Thursday. I've completed everything. I'm a wreck! I hope I get approved. I've been waiting 6 months! They won't even tentatively schedule me until I am official....ugh!

I have been waiting for my papers to be submitted since September. It has been hell! but I remind myself that I won't remember the stresses of this experience after I get the surgery. They officially submitted my papers a day or two ago. I have healthfirst and was told I should get an answer by Monday. If I learned anything through dealing with Dr offices..you HAVE TO constantly call them, always have back up copies of your papers and be prepared to go there in person to make sure things are going smoothly because some places like to leave you in the dark, even when they need something from you. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! WE MADE IT THIS FAR ^_^

I am "officially" waiting for an approval. I called my insurance company and they received the claim this morning 12/06. They said I will have an answer within 5 days. Here come the pins and needles. "I hate this part right here!"

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
