Hello All,

Well I have been totally unfilled cause of pouch dilation and so a few weeks ago they said that the pouch returned to normal so they put 3/4 of a CC in my 4cc band. Today I went for a possible fill and GI series well the doctors assistant said that I am filled enough. That any tighter and I would be vomiting. I was a bit dissapointanted cause I don't have as much restriction as i would like and I don't really feel full. He said he is going by what he sees and as I was drinking he saw a little reflux so said no your are tight enough maybe in 2 weeks if it changes. My weight was as low as 156 and now I am 170. I started at 215 and my goal is 140. I don't no what to do, I no what its like to feel that full feeling cause i was 3cc's filled when i had the problems with the pouch stretching. I am not saying i should be filled to 3cc's but maybe at least 1cc would be nice. I should really start to exercise and i just made a nutritional appointment so hope that will help. I am so scared of my weight going back up i am sure you all can relate to that.

Anyway any advice would be kind and I appreciate you all just being there to listen, Thanks for the support.

Cheryl

Hey cherg! How's it going?

I just went back on Thursday and got another .5 cc's. I am not as tight as I was before when I had to get unfilled, but at 1.5 cc... I think I am liking where I am at.

I hope things are going good for you. YES, I know how bad it sucks to gain weight after an unfill. I gained close to 20 pounds I believe. Now, I am only 9 away from my all time low.

You can do this. As always... PM me if you need anything!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
