3 Month Post Update...

Recommended Posts

I had my 3 month checkup yesterday and my surgeon was extremely please with my progress to date, which was great news to hear .

Starting Weight: 417

Weight on Day of Surgery: 389

Pre-Surgery weight loss: 28 pounds

Current Weight: 330

3 month Post Surgery weight loss: 59 pounds

Total Weight loss in 4 months (pre & post surgery) 87 pounds

Knocked out the 400, getting ready to knock out the 300’s and can’t wait to start knocking out the 200!!

Love my sleeve and new found active lifestyle (Insanity, T25 and Your Body is Gym).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Fantastic! You've been "missing" on here for a bit so glad to see you back. :)

Will you be posting pics of your progress?

What?, how is that possible? Good for you.

How's the insanity workout coming along?

insanity has been one of keys to my weight loss. Plus I hired a personal trainer that I meet 3 times a week for additional cardio training besides the insanity program. I'm about to start the T25 program. Going great so far...my surgeon, wife any I are pumped with the results so far. Down 5 pants sizes and 3 shirt sizes...very motivating :-)

I'm going to post a side by side full length picture soon to see the changes so far. I'm still over 100pounds from my goal...I think that's another reason why I have been loosing fast as I had so much to loose being over 400 pounds when I started this amazing journey.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
