LindsayHeth I am exactly where you are, but am afraid to weigh myself ! I am afraid no weight loss will discourage me.

So, I am hoping my body is not letting me down.

It's all down hill from there ladies, I am on my last 12 hours and I am down 20lbs in 15 days from the liquids. So tomorrow morning is D day. Stay strong in the end it will be worth it. Cheers to you both you can do it. Prays are with you both.
Thank you! Congrats! You are almost there! Keep up the good work and keep me updated on how it's going for you!
Thanks and sure thing I will keep you posted.

Morning all- day 6 in recovery. 10 pounds down (after gaining 5 after surgery). It's crazy, I would have had to bust my butt and diet hard for well over a month to drop that amount. Kind of ready to move on to more solid food, but thrilled that this process is working. Gas pains almost gone, but still swollen in abdomen area. Good luck and blessings to all going into surgery today!

:) Wow, I am glad to say I am back among the living. The surgery on Feb. 10th kicked my butt big time. I ended up staying in the hospital and extra day due to having so much lung congestion. I was on breathing treatments around the clock and I was in a lot of pain. I came home last Thursday and each day has shown significant improvement. I started on the full liquids on Sunday and that made a tremendous difference. Of course my appetite came back so it was much easier to get the fluids and shakes down. I had 6 incisions and all are doing well except for one which is very very painful. I keep having sharp cutting pains when I move quickly or try to pull my self out of the recliner or bed. Other than that I now feel terrific and I have started walking my 30 minutes per day. I am going back to work tomorrow. For all of those about to have surgery, don't worry, you can do this. The first few days I kept thinking WTH have I done to myself but now on my 1 week anniversary... I feel positive and motivated. Life is good. :P Janet

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
