Help With Symptoms.

Recommended Posts

For a few weeks now I have been having the shakes in my hands and arms. I told my PCP and he said he didn't think it was anything but to go see a neurologist. I asked the NUT and she said check your blood sugar, which I did and is normal. I then asked my Psych about meds since I have lost weight maybe it had something to do with it and he said no. My next step is to ask my chiropractor. It doesn't happen all the time. It feels like I have had a huge jolt of caffeine but haven't. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe dehydration?

How old are you? Also, make the doctors dig deeper.

When was your WLS? Have you had the shakes before or until after??

I'd like to learn what the doctor's tell you is causing it? Have they done lab work to check your everything's low on a Vitamin?

Where you a diabetic or hypoglecmic before?

I just had my WLS sleeve 1wk ago, I called my surgery doctors office this morning to ask or get suggestions to help me. I've been waking up feeling shaky and light headed.

I shouldn't be dehydrated because I'm drinking all my Proteins, drinking 100z of fluids daily, blood sugar are good too.

I'm not sure if I'm still hypoglecmic or not or diabetic type 2 anymore but plan to see my pcp next week.

This shaky things feels horrible, I'm able to cope with it because I'm home recovering but worry about what if this horrible shakes comes on while driving.

Hope you feel better and get results soon, pls keep us posted, it's so important to share our journey. Feel better.

My WLS was 9/25/13. I have been type 2 before. I have been testing my blood sugar and it's fine. My pcp and shrink have verified not any meds I'm on. NUT says not dehydrated and isn't anything I'm eating. So I took notes and went to my chiropractor and it turned out to be my neck was out and I was having Migraines. I normally get the really painful ones but these were different. So far so good. I really hope that you feel better. It could be that your body is just getting used to the trauma that it went through. Let me know how it goes.

I'm glad to hear your mystery is resolved, good to know so you can address it.

Well my doctor asked me to go to the lab for some blood work, so I did. Hopefully I hear back from them this wknd. I was so weak to drive myself, I had to ask my mom to drive me, today I couldn't get my walking done. Hopefully tmrw is a better day.

Thank you for sharing and hope you don't get the shakes anymore. Take good care.

Would you believe it's Migraines. Crazy!

I get migraines from aspartame. If you're drinking a lot of crystal light or eating other "sugar free" things you might check the food content and see if that is what it is.

I actually have had them my whole life. I have a very bad spine and neck. I have had tremendous relief from my chiropractor.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
